Thanks to HFX, Chris Is "Back in Action"
“I am about to go climb a mountain again thanks to HFX,” said Chris, who is back in action after his life as a professional mountain climber, road bike rider and professional racquetball player was stalled for years because of chronic back pain.
For Chris the journey to climb Mt. Blanc in Italy in October 2020 was a long one that included steroid and epidural injections, nerve blocks, massage, periodic short-term use of pain medication and four back surgeries.
“No matter what I tried, the pain always came back,” Chris explained. Then Dr. Ankush Bansal suggested an HFX trial, which took place in October 2019 and reduced Chris’ pain within the first few days. Since getting his implant in December 2019, HFX has given Chris 90% pain relief consistently.

“Before HFX, pain limited every aspect of my life for close to 15 years and it was very hard not to be able to do anything athletic,” Chris said. “Now, with HFX, life is good. Not only have I returned to pursuing my passion for mountain climbing but I am able to go about basic, everyday activities without pain. The improvement in my overall quality of life has been incredible!”
