Kaytee Was Able to Achieve 75% Pain Relief with HFX
After a skiing accident in 2018 when she was just 32-years-old, Kaytee, who had a lifelong passion for outdoor sports, was in such chronic debilitating pain that she feared would no longer be able to live an active life.
Although lumbar fusion surgery following the accident was successful, Kaytee was still in excruciating pain.
When more than a year of physical therapy, injections, and medications failed to help, Dr. Namath Hussain suggested an HFX trial.
“I was apprehensive because of my age and the idea of having something implanted in my body, but I did some research and asked a lot of questions and decided it was scarier to think about living with the pain for the rest of my life — especially since I was so young,” Kaytee explained.
By the second day of her November 2019 trial, Kaytee not only had 75% less pain but could move in ways she couldn’t since her accident.

Just four months after her December 2019 implant Kaytee was able to go on a 7-mile hike. “I am wave surfing again and don’t feel as though anything can hold me back from any activity that I set my mind to,” she said. “I am amazed at what HFX has done for me!”
