Derek Suffered with Pain from Severe Stenosis, Radiculopathy, & Neuropathy until Trying HFX
Derek’s intensely active lifestyle in the US Marines jumping out of helicopters & his work as a longshoreman exacted a huge toll on the 55-year-old’s body.
He suffered from severe thoracic & cervical stenosis, radiculopathy, & neuropathy for more than 10 years.
He underwent 26 surgical procedures & even tried traditional spinal cord stimulation, but without enough pain relief.
In March of 2019, however, Derek’s life changed when Dr. Jagjeet Singh suggested an HFX trial to relieve Derek’s back & leg pain.
Derek was so impressed with the results, he soon got his permanent implant & chose HFX for relief of his upper limb pain, swapping out a traditional spinal cord stimulation system for Nevro.

Now he enjoys 70% pain relief & is back lifting weights at the gym, “I am more energetic & active than I have been in years,” he said.
Derek’s wife also weighed in, “Before HFX Derek didn’t have any quality of life. He spent most of his time in his room due to his pain. Now he can do things he loves like gardening outdoors. Since HFX he is a much happier person.”
